Excel-to-XML

Excel-to-XML is a macro-based utility that translates Microsoft Excel tables to XML documents. It translates cells to their XML equivalents. It also translates the special characters <, >, ", and & into their special encodings.

The database is a rectangular region that you select. The field names are in the first row of the selection.

To start the translation, select a rectangular region on an Excel worksheet, open the Excel-to-XML utility, and type <control-d>. Excel-to-XML lets you know when it is finished. The XML document is named after the worksheet (the tab in the workbook).

After translation, you can upen the XML document in any compliant browser, create a style sheet and display the table in any fashion.
